Volunteer Opportunities at the Historic Bush House Museum
Saturdays and Special Events Museum Guides Needed

The Historic Bush House Museum is looking for passionate, dedicated volunteers to assist with museum tours on Saturdays and special events throughout the year.. If you love sharing stories, engaging with visitors, and helping to create an inclusive, vibrant cultural space, we would love to hear from you!
Volunteer Roles:
As a volunteer, you will
- Dig deeper into the lives and times of the Bush family and staff of Bush House
- Share our local, regional and state history with visitors of all ages and backgrounds
- Serve as a Museum Guide for select Saturdays and special events , offering visitors an engaging, informative experience about the museum’s history and exhibits.
- Participate in special events like Salem Art Fair and the Annual Holiday Open Museum
- Create a warm, inclusive, and inviting atmosphere for all who visit.
No prior experience is required— we will train you !

The Bush House Museum is preserved to explore and interpret Salem’s Bush Family and Bush’s Pasture Park, the cultural diversity of Salem history and the development of early Oregon. Bush House Museum is supported in part by a grant of Transient Occupancy Tax funds from the City of Salem.
